Meet the Founder And her design philosophy

Aditi's design philosophy gets down to the basics. Read more in the section below.
Materials Matter
Comfort to me has become synonyms with natural fiber. Given cotton's ubiquity, it is no surprise that menswear is still beautifully crafted from this fiber.
Women's clothing, unfortunately, is made from cheap synthetic materials. It is easy to toss these clothes before their fruitful life is over. Subconsciously, perhaps, our skin is rejecting the feel of this material. This was my moment of truth.
Since its launch, POESHAQ has grown its collection to include Oeko-Tex 100 Certified Linen. That is both kind to your skin and the planet.
Responsible Design
Good design is sustainable. Through my designs, I hope to fill a void created by impractical street-wear for women. I think this has led to an increase in wastage.
My design process seeks to keep it refined and utilitarian with fewer, better materials. Such as structured tops with sleeves or pants with pockets in not see-through fabrics.
Clothing in natural fibers can be made aesthetically pleasing while also serving a need. And this has been my goal from day one.

Eden Crop Top in Ikat Cotton
Fit for clothes is subjective - I get it. There is no universal size chart. All good things I learned early on. Except I still desired a good fit.
Fitted clothes work every single time, no matter the occasion. We project this flattering fit outwardly by feeling confident and often put our best foot forward.
So my quest led me to the Japanese school of thought for pattern-making. The first sample that I constructed in my size fitted like a glove right out-of-the-box. I haven't looked back since.
